چکیده
A Hecke endomorphism algebra is a natural generalisation of the qSchur algebra associated with the symmetric group to a Coxeter group. For Weyl groups, Parshall, Scott and the first author [9, 10] investigated the stratification structure of these algebras in order to seek applications to representations of finite groups of Lie type. In this paper we investigate the presentation problem for Hecke endomorphism algebras associated with arbitrary Coxeter groups. Our approach is to present such algebras by quivers with relations. If R is the localisation of Z[q] at the polynomials with constant term 1, the algebra can simply be defined by the so-called idempotent, sandwich and extended braid relations. As applications of this result, we first obtain a presentation of the 0-Hecke endomorphism algebra over Z and then develop an algorithm for presenting the Hecke endomorphism algebras over Z[q] by finding R-torsion relations. As examples, we determine the torsion relations required for all rank 2 groups and the symmetric group S4.

The goal of this paper is to define a new class of objects which we call triple affine Artin groups and to relate them with Cherednik’s double affine Hecke algebras. This has as immediate consequences new and simple descriptions of double affine Weyl and Artin groups, the double affine Hecke algebras as well as the corresponding elliptic objects. We also recover in an transparent and elementary...

We give two pathological phenomena for non-separable AF-algebras which do not occur for separable AF-algebras. One is that non-separable AFalgebras are not determined by their Bratteli diagrams, and the other is that there exists a non-separable AF-algebra which is prime but not primitive.

Starting from the Schwinger unitary operator bases formalism constructed out of a finite dimensional state space, the well-known q-deformed commu-tation relation is shown to emerge in a natural way, when the deformation parameter is a root of unity.
